Classic noughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe), one on one — against the computer or online with friends. You can run several games at once; a game’s tab lights up when it is your move.
Rules
- 3×3 board. Players take turns placing their symbol in a free cell.
- The first to get three of their symbols in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — wins the round. A full board with no line is a drawn round.
- At the start of a game we draw who plays crosses and who plays noughts. Symbols stay the same for the whole game.
- Crosses start the first round; after that the other player starts each new round, whatever the result.
Number of rounds
The player who creates the game picks how many rounds you play: 1, 3, 5 or 10. After each round the next one starts right away.
- After the last round the player with more round wins takes the game. With equal wins (or only draws) the game is a draw.
- You play all the chosen rounds, even when the result is already decided.
- Resigning loses the whole game.
What are we playing for?
When starting a game you can pick a “stake” from a fixed list (fries, coffee, dishes, massage, pizza or none). It is just for fun between friends — no money, prizes or purchases involved.
FAQ
How do I play with a friend?
Search for their nickname and invite them, or send them an invitation link/code (valid for 24 hours). You can also choose “Random opponent”.
Who is Krzyżyk_Bot?
Our bot — a clearly labelled computer player. It joins when nobody answers a “Random opponent” search within a few seconds, and it accepts invitations. It plays well, but it can be beaten.
How do I buy or restore the full version?
Playing against the computer is always free. The full version (unlimited online games) is a one-time in-app purchase (Profile → Full version), processed by the App Store. After changing phones or reinstalling, tap Restore purchases in the same place while signed in with the same Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Your account, nickname, statistics, blocks and reports are erased immediately and ongoing games end as resigned. If you no longer have access to the app, email us.
How do I block or report a player?
On the game screen or next to a rival tap Block or Report (reason: nickname, behaviour, other). Reporting also blocks the player; your ongoing games with them are cancelled and they can no longer invite or find you. Reports are reviewed manually within 24 hours. Your block list is in your Profile.
I don’t get “Your move” notifications.
Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Kółko Krzyżyk. Notifications are used in online games only.
Is there a chat?
No — only preset reactions: “Nice move!”, “Hmm…”, “Hurry up!”, “Rematch?” and “GG”. There is no free-text chat.
